Tommy Dorsey - “Well, Git It” (from Du Barry Was a Lady, 1943)
I’ve never seen dueling pianos before as part of a “regular” band, only as a gimmick or to feature to stars. Anyone know if this was a thing?
The Tommy Dorsey band, featuring a.o. Buddy Rich (drums) and Ziggy Elman (trumpet) with “Bugle Call Rag”; traditionally leading into “Ole Miss” and which they re-titled “Well, Git It”.
